The Dark night rumbled with the crashing of thunder and the rain lashed down. A streak of lighting illimunated a figure dressed in a deep gree cloak, his face hidden beneath his sodden hood. He was running frantically through the wilderness, and although he was exhausted, he continued to run. Run for fear of his own life. He cast his eyes up to the heavens, lighting striking once more. He turned to look behind him into the darkness, and as he did so he tripped jerkily on a loose twig, being helplessly thrown onto the muddy ground his face covered in filth, bumping his head on a stone. He tried to lift himself, but his arms gave in. He collapsed once more into the mud. All energy gone. He felt dizzy. His head swam with the events of the past surfacing into view before being helplessly torn away to the uttermost forgotten part of his mind, and there lost...

Raina slid down the tree that was her home. Hearing something, se peered around the thick oak.

Taliesin awoke suddenly. His head throbbed and blood was trickling slightly down his face. He looked around. He was in some kind of tree. A girl was there. She was peering through the foliage. " Who are you?" he asked in a demanding then weak voice as his head hurt with the talknig.
"Ssssssh!!!!" she said. He couldn't make out her features it was too dark. " somethings down there...." She whispered " Something...evil." He crawled over slowly and peered down. Below the rain was still falling and the lighting still blazed, but there was something moving. Something great and menacing. But it was wreathed in dense black shadow that seemed to float through the air like a liquid. It was looking for something. It seemed to sense something and move towards the tree, but as it did it seemed as though it burned itself on the very tree itself. The trhick cloud steamed up and moved apart, and for a split second, the two saw a great figure stooped and hideous standing in its midst. They shuddered. The crerature seemed to move off as its shadow reformed and went off to the north.
"What was that?" She said to Taliesin
"I don't know...But it seems familiar" he said
"Well who are you then?" She asked
"I... don't know..." He said slowly, confused.

She smiled gently at h9im. "For now, you are hurt" she said. "Here, pur your arms around me" When he, protesting, insisted that he was to heavy, she smiled. "I am strong" she replied, and lifting him she carried him over to a large tree, whispered something to it in a strange toungue, a dor appered, and she stepped into it. She lay him on a soft wicker work bed. He looked around in wonder, despite his pain/

Raina smiled. "My name is Raina. "Stay here, I will go and fetch som healing herbs." Her grey eyes were gentlr.

Taliesins head swam. He couldn't remeber his own nmae or where he came from. The only thing he remebered was....running and then falling. He inhailed breath sharply. His head was hurting to even think!

Raina soon came back with the herbs. She mashed them into a paste, and smoothed them over the limp figures brow,

the pain seemed to lift from him slightly. He remembered... a cry as of great anguish and pain. He remembered running through a doorway in time to see a grey, almost see through figure standing infront of a man, a familiar man. It was grinning wickedly and it sneered at him, before vanishing.
"FATHER!!"

The boy was writhing in his troubled sleep. Probably delerious. He seemed to be having a nightmare. He cried out 'Father' and awoke scared and shaking.

Raina smiled at him sympathetically. "Hush" she whispered. "I will look after you." She sthingyed a light broth down his throat.

He woke the next day. It was very early. His head seemed much better and he felt happier. Still, though, he couldn't remeberwho he was. He began to get up.

Raina did not turn around. the door to the tree was opened, and she was brushing her long rippling brown hair in the light.

He rose slowly and seeing the girl went to see her. "Goodmorning, Raina is it? I want to thankyou for taking me in when you did. Did you see that ...thing? I wonder what it was looking for?"
Raina looked darkly, thinking that she new.

Raina turned to him. "You" She said. "He was looking for you." She closed the door, whispered to it, and immediatly the door dissapeared.

"How do you mean?" He said suddenly dizzy again.
" I think you were running from it. I saw you ruuning looking back in fear and then you fell onto the rock and must've bumped your head. Can you not remeber."
He ran from the his father halls the creatures cries behind as it was manifesting into this world. He ran on into the night seeking the wilderness, to attempt to lose his new eternal hunter.
